Today this has definitely improved and I can feel baby moving when I’m just lying in bed. I can normally feel baby move when just sat down or standing and without having to put hand on bump, but Sunday and Monday I was having to lie on side and apply pressure with my palm. What would you do? Has baby just gotten a little cramped in there now, or could the baby have recently moved into back to back position and this has caused the change in movements I have felt. But they have done all the tests which show baby is healthy and happy in there (just back to back). They keep telling me that I need to let them know if movements change and I keep saying yes they have, they are still not what they were like previously to Sunday. I was worried baby wasn’t getting enough oxygen and that’s what was slowing it down but luckily all was good. Today movements better still but MW had booked me in for a Doppler/liquor volume scan to check baby out. Monday (yesterday) movements were more noticeable but still not the same and none felt overnight. I’m 39 weeks tomorrow and on Sunday I noticed baby didn’t move as much, nor as strong so went for CTG monitoring that night which showed normal results. If you are only a few days over your date it is unlikely labour will start and a sweep can cause more discomfort that anything else. I think they should only be done when women are over 41 weeks as there will be definate plans for induction being made. Feel I need to ask if anyone has had a similar experience. Sometimes the sweep does get things going - in my own case labour started 12 hours later.
